This role reports to the Managing Director in our San Francisco office, aligning on company goals and vision to push the experiential offering into new and constantly innovative directions. The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual used to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You are likely a Senior Producer with a desire to step into an EP role and build an exceptional team and production practice. The role requires someone who can both delegate and execute depending on the project needs. This person will be a creative thinker who is always game to innovate and push the work, serving the creative vision and working seamlessly with our internal team and external vendors alike to execute a range of complex, multi-dimensional programs, and productions for our clients. Our clients range from Fortune 50 creative and tech companies to boutique lifestyle companies across varied sectors.
You’ll need to:
- Represent and execute the integrity of the creative treatment in all deliverables
- Own & manage all project schedules and staffing plans
- Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all clients needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely fashion
- Communicate clearly to the client and internally the following info: assigned program roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, workback schedules and program status/action item
- Be comfortable working with people at all levels and lead a cross-functional team
- Work with the account leads and manage the program from creative through execution
- Conduct regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Oversee and delegate tasks to junior and supporting team members on execution of all job details
- Develop talent of the junior team by providing challenging assignments and ongoing constructive feedback.
- Manage resources; identify, negotiate and engage with external resources as needed
- Create program budgets and manage the revenue throughout client programs ensuring the client is kept fully up to date
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure best available resources support our programs.
- Reconcile program costs against budget
- Participate in creative brainstorms to advise team on methods of execution
- Continually look for innovative solutions and production methods with a good knowledge of the technical and logistical aspects of production
- Embrace tight deadlines and conflicting priorities and remain calm under pressure
The ideal EP candidate should possess:
- 8+ years of experience leading and producing complex creative experiences including large live & digital brand activations and corporate events
- Exceptional levels of organization, with impeccable administration skills and flawless attention to detail
- Experience with a variety of types of events & experiences, including brand activations, pop up experiences, corporate events, and global campaigns
- A relentless drive to deliver the creative vision at the highest level
- An innate sense of resourcefulness and get-it-done attitude with no ego
- An open minded and agnostic approach to production, content and platforms
- Comfort with concepts that cross environmental, digital and virtual realms
- Strong negotiation, organization, prioritization, and planning skills
- Knowledge of software logistics
- Strong familiarity and comfort with technology in general and with digital/virtual specifically.
- Strong production competencies: Developing others, attention to detail, flexibility and professional confidence
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team
